abstract:
ADM (automated decision-making) require transparency. It's an interesting opportunity for Europe, and digital democracy. ADM also involves enterprises, technicians and citizens, not only consumers. The battle against discriminations it's just the beginning of a wider process to reestablish fair digital behaviours.

ADMs are algorythms devoted to improve decisions made by humans. We can classify the improvements in some categories: As we know, GDPR oblige to have a human assistence in these cases, and to be transparent in criterias. Notably we can point out how they works. From another perspective they can: DSA also introduce in european laws the duty to be transparent on algorythms. Such a work appears to me a great opportunity for developers like me with great experience in privacy laws and in italian laws.
