La tua banca sei tu. Veramente.

Bitcoin permette di pagare bitcoins a chi li accetta per i pagamenti.

I bitcoin non sono stampati da uno Stato, non sono toccati dalle banche. Vanno direttamente dal compratore al venditore.

Ci sono dei soggetti intermediari che controllano i pagamenti a buon fine. Non uno, tanti controllano che chi vende venda e chi paga paghi.

I conti sono pubblici, cosi' come la banca e' pubblica e il software e' pubblico, open source. Tutto trasparente.

Per ogni vendita si dovrebbe avere un conto diverso, ma tutto gestibile dal proprio computer o dal proprio telefono.

Chi ha organizzato questa idea apparentemente balorda sottolinea che usare un conto bitcom e' come pagare, ma e' meglio non lasciare i bitcoin sul conto perche' potrebbero perdere valore per inflazione, penuria di merci, e chissa'.

Quindi i bitcoin possono diventare soldi sonanti grazie ad appositi intermediari che prendono il 2% sulle transazioni. Attenzioni: vengono convertiti nella valuta richiesta come fossero una moneta straniera, al valore che avra' in quel momento.

Domanda: e la tracciabilita' dei soldi ? Il terrorismo ?

La risposta potrebbe essere: non sono problemi nostri, perche' ognuno fa dei propri soldi quello che crede, e ognuno ne risponde. Non dovrebbe essere compito delle banche sapere cosa fanno le persone dei propri soldi.

Da notare che nel 2015 la Corte Europea ha affermato che l'attivita' di cambio valute virtuali e' esente iva.

In today’s judgment, the Court holds that transactions to exchange traditional currencies for units of the ‘bitcoin’ virtual currency (and  vice  versa)  constitute  the  supply  of  services  for  consideration within  the  meaning  of  the  directive,  since  they  consist  of  the  exchange  of  different  means  of payment  and  there  is  a  direct  link  between  the  service  provided  by  Mr  Hedqvist  and  the consideration received by him, namely the margin created by the difference between, on the one hand,  the  price  at  which  he  purchases  currencies  and,  on  the  other  hand,  the  price  at  which  he sells them to his clients.

The  Court  also  holds  that those  transactions  are  exempt  from  VAT  under  the  provision concerning transactions relating to ‘currency, bank notes and coins used as legal tender’.To exclude transactions such as those envisaged byMr Hedqvistfrom the scope of that provision would deprive it of part of itseffects having regard to the aim of the exemption, which isto alleviate the difficulties connected  with determining the taxable amount and the amount of VAT deductible which arise in the context of the taxation of financial transactions
